Despite the entry of major conglomerates and rapid platformization, South Korea’s used car market still faces deep-rooted public distrust. Chronic ills—such as bait-and-switch listings, opaque pricing, and a lack of post-purchase accountability—have long deterred consumers. Amid this crisis of trust, one company is turning heads by reshaping the market paradigm. Guided by the management philosophy of "never compromising with expedients, even at a financial loss," this firm has established Korea’s first integrated transaction system encompassing both passenger and commercial vehicles. This is the story of Lee Jun-beom, CEO of Yuil Mobility, which has grown rapidly from its base in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do.

One of the most frequent malpractice issues in the used car industry is the demand for illicit rebates or under-the-table arrangements during transactions. In particular, when disposing of corporate or large-account fleet vehicles, the clandestine practice of purchasing staff seeking personal gain has long been an open secret in the industry.
Lee Jun-beom, CEO of Yuil Mobility, has faced this dark side of the market head-on. While negotiating a deal with one of Korea’s largest audio equipment companies, the employee in charge demanded a backdoor deal equivalent to embezzlement in exchange for selling the chairman’s vehicle. Although it was a major client that guaranteed significant profit, Lee rejected the offer without hesitation. As a result, he had to accept the immediate financial loss of losing a massive account.
"I was convinced that protecting the fundamental integrity of the company was the only way to survive in the long run, rather than just chasing immediate revenue," Lee recalled. "Instead, when we helped another struggling client liquidate their vehicles at a fair and high price, seeing the genuine gratitude in the partner’s eyes made me realize the true power of honest transactions."
An All-in-One Platform Bridging Passenger and Commercial Vehicles
Another reason Yuil Mobility is drawing significant industry attention is its unique business structure. Today, Yuil Mobility has evolved beyond simple used car sales to offer a comprehensive, all-weather suite of services for both individuals and corporations. This includes lease succession and full-payoff transfers, rental car sales, and large commercial truck sales—a segment known for its high barriers to entry. The company has now grown into a large-scale organization with around 150 employees.
Traditionally, the used car market was strictly bifurcated into dealerships specializing in either passenger cars or large commercial/specialized trucks. Consequently, corporate clients and integrated logistics firms faced the inconvenience of dealing with multiple separate vendors when purchasing or disposing of their automotive assets.
Recognizing this fragmented market structure, Yuil Mobility developed Korea’s first "All-in-One Platform," capable of handling every type of automotive transaction under one roof. This breakthrough was made possible by Lee’s unique background; having previously worked as a hydro-crane operator at construction sites, he possessed a deep, firsthand understanding of heavy equipment and the commercial vehicle market.

Becoming the Standard of Market Trust
Beyond his core business, CEO Lee Jun-beom currently serves as a director of the Gyeonggi-do Used Car Dealer Association, leading efforts to eradicate fake listings and promote self-regulation among dealers. He also serves as the "121 Master" at the BNI Orange Chapter, a global business network, where he fosters a trust-based collaborative ecosystem among executives from various industries.
In the rapidly evolving mobility market, Yuil Mobility's ultimate destination is not mere expansion in size, but rather becoming the "standard of market trust."
"There is only one way for the used car market to survive: securing transparency so that consumers no longer look at us with suspicion," Lee emphasized. "I will cultivate Yuil Mobility not just as a typical dealership, but as a robust financial and mobility brand where people can buy and sell vehicles with the utmost peace of mind in Korea."
As CEO Lee Jun-beom continues to break through chronic market ills using honesty as his strongest weapon, industry insiders are keenly watching how his system-driven management—which strictly adheres to rules and principles—will bring positive waves of change to Korea's automotive distribution industry.
