교회가 세상의 빛이라 말하지만 세상은 오히려 교회를 향해 묻고 있다.
“정말 사람을 살리고 있는가.”
이번 탐사보도는 한국교회 안에서 독특한 위치를 가진 조정민목사를 조명한다.

말씀과 공동체 중심을 강조해 왔다.
일부에서는 “한국교회 대형화 흐름 속에서 상대적으로 절제된 모델”이라는 긍정 평가도 있다.
그러나 지역사회와 실제 연결성에 대해서는 더 냉정한 검증이 필요하다.
교회가 단지 좋은 설교 콘텐츠를 생산하는 공간인지 아니면 실제로 지역의 약자와 눈물 곁으로 들어가는 공동체인지 묻지 않을 수 없다.
진짜 교회는 조회수로 증명되지 않는다.
가난한 사람의 식탁에서 증명된다.
상처 입은 사람의 눈물 곁에서 증명된다.

성도의 소리
“말씀이 어렵지 않고 현실적이다.”
“강요와 율법주의가 상대적으로 적다.”
“조용하지만 깊이 있는 설교가 위로가 된다.”
반면 일부에서는 이런 목소리도 나온다.
“너무 안전한 설교만 하는 것 같다.”
“시대와 정면충돌하는 예언자적 외침은 부족하다.”
“교회가 지나치게 브랜드화되는 느낌이 있다.”

일반 시민들 사이에서는 기존 대형교회 이미지와 다르다는 평가가 존재한다. 그러나 동시에 한국교회 전체에 대한 불신 속에서 “결국 교회는 교회 아니냐”는 냉소도 여전하다.
언론의 소리

or is it truly entering into the tears and struggles of the weak?
A real church is not proven by view counts.

It is proven beside the tears of the wounded.
