청령포
단종의 땅 청령포에 서면
애간장이 녹아서 없어진 그의 한이
고적한 풍경으로 흐르고 있었네.
벼랑에 서서 벼랑이 된
그의 영혼은 말이 없는데
시간의 옷을 걸어둔 나뭇가지만
낡은 조등처럼 걸려 있네.
나는 오랫동안 어린 단종에게 갇혀
청령포 풍경 속에서 헤매고 있었는데
바람이 조등을 거두어 강물에 띄우고
단종은 강물을 따라 강이 되고 있었네.
At Cheongnyeongpo,
land of the lost king,
his sorrow, long dissolved,
flows through the silent landscape.
He stood on the cliff—
became the cliff.
His spirit spoke no words,
only bare branches
hung like old lanterns in time.
I wandered,
trapped in the boy-king’s gaze,
until the wind lifted the lanterns,
set them adrift on the river—
and Danjong
became the water itself.
